StatementI’m a plein air artist. I follow in the footsteps of the impressionist, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, and Renoir. They were the first to follow the light and paint outside. Their paintings were bold and emphasized the sun’s warm colors and the cool colors of the early morning or evening shadows.
Their goal was to capture the light. For example, Early morning or evening light.
Many of my paintings try to capture and amplify the early morning or evening light.
I collaborated with Annette Friend to create a poem focusing on the evening setting light.
