ROSE

This piece began as a collage of my two grandchildren but life got in the way and it sat in my studio for a year or three. I decided to use the canvas for this show because it was a good size and I have an embarrassing amount of collage materials. I planned to keep it simple and delicate thinking about my grandchildren, but a third of the way into it something else took over. I ran across some prints of previous watercolors that I had done long ago and I now have the mysterious, in your face Rose.
